Our story
The Musgrave Family
I'm Colleen Musgrave — an interior designer, a farmer's wife, and the founder of Blooming Meadows Farm. I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. My husband Matt grew up in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Two people from very different places, brought together by the Navy on a tiny island called Diego Garcia, south of India.
We served together, built a life together, and after ten years of military service, we put down roots in Turbotville, PA — a small town where we found an 1800s farmhouse on five acres and started dreaming about what our next chapter could look like. Matt longed to get back to farming. I longed for a picture-perfect landscape. For a while, those visions didn't quite match. Then on a family vacation to Colorado, we stayed at a bed and breakfast that was also a flower farm — and everything clicked.
We knew exactly what we were supposed to build.
A Place Where Healing Blooms.
Blooming Meadows Farm was born from a calling, shaped by love for beauty and nature, tested by fire, and rebuilt stronger than ever.
An Idea Takes Root
Blooming Meadows Farm began as a u-pick flower destination in the Susquehanna Valley — a place where Matt's love of the land and my love of design finally came together. We grew flowers, welcomed guests, and slowly began to understand that what we were building was something more than a farm.
"Our passion for nature, beauty, and peace led us here — to create a place where treasured memories are made."
A Calling Deeper Than Flowers
As the farm grew, so did the vision. I felt God calling me to create a place where people could truly heal — to slow down, create, breathe, and reconnect with something larger than themselves.
That calling shaped everything. It's why we grow and dry our own flowers. It's why every class, every event, and every experience we offer is rooted in nature. Beauty isn't decoration here — it's the point.
What We offer
Today, Blooming Meadows is home to craft classes, devotionals, and themed events — each one designed to help you slow down, create something beautiful, and leave feeling more like yourself than when you arrived.
Our craft classes use real materials grown right here on the farm. Our devotionals are immersive, joyful experiences for women of all ages and faith backgrounds. Our themed events are a chance to gather, celebrate, and simply enjoy the farm.
The Fire — And What Came After
At 3 o'clock in the morning on June 25, 2025, we lost our venue to a fire.
There are no words for what it feels like to watch something you built — something you were called to build — burn in the middle of the night. But even in that moment, we knew the mission didn't burn with it.
We are rebuilding our venue and rebranding with greater clarity and intention than ever before. The fire didn't take what matters most: the community, the calling, and the conviction that this farm exists to help people heal.
It didn't end Blooming Meadows. It planted the seeds for what comes next.
Where We Are Going
As we rebuild, we are also expanding. The healing that happens here on our little farm in Pennsylvania was never meant to stay here. We are taking Blooming Meadows nationwide.
Through craft kits and devotional kits, we are bringing the Blooming Meadows experience directly to your door — wherever you are in the country. The same nature-inspired crafts we teach on the farm, the same devotional experiences we host in our fields, are now available to anyone who wants to slow down, create, and heal.
The farm is being rebuilt. The mission is expanding. And we are more certain than ever that this is exactly what we were called to do.
"Whatever brought you to Blooming Meadows — a love of flowers, a need for rest, a search for connection — we believe you were meant to find us. Welcome."

“I created Blooming Meadows Farm because God told me to create a place for people to heal. I didn’t know how it would heal me as well”
