Frequently asked questions.
What is a U-Pick Farm?
A U-Pick Flower Farm is a farm that grows flowers for cutting. We open a designated section of our field for the public to come and pick their own flowers. It is a great way to spend a day with friends or family. We have the absolute freshest flowers available.
What do I need to bring?
We will provide all supplies needed to pick flowers and then we will wrap up your flowers up to take home. You are welcome to bring a CLEAN bucket to carry your flowers home with you but we will supply the bucket to use for picking flowers.
When are you open?
We are open seasonally on select days (see calendar). We have limited space so please reserve your spot. Flowers do not like to be cut during the heat of the day. They will not have a long vase life. It is best to cut them 1st thing in the morning and in the evening. Please check the calendar, Facebook or Instagram for time and dates of openings.
Do you close for weather related instances?
We do not try to close for weather-related instances but we are a farm in nature. Please check Facebook and Instagram for any unexpected closings or changes.
How do I pick the flowers?
First, have fun! Second, do not walk on garden beds at all. It will disturb the plants roots. Third, use clean snips that have been sanitizer with rubbing alcohol. Fourth, when you cut the flowers cut down at least 18”. It is about the length from you hand to your elbow. Each flower is different for exact cutting but the general rule is to cut right before the full bloom for the longest lasting flower. If you have any questions please ask. Fifth, place in water immediately.
How do I take care of the Flowers?
Please put your flowers in water as soon as possible. When you do this be sure to cut at least 1 inch off the bottom. This is required for the flower to drink water. You should add sugar or flower food to the water. Make sure you use a clean vase and change the water daily.
What is in each Bouquet?
The Bouquets will all have a focal flower, filler flowers and foliage. They will come wrapped up in butcher paper.
What type of Payment do you accept?
Currently we accept cash and credit cards. All sales are final.
